The link below gives an update from Wealden District Council about the strike action planned by Biffa, which may affect bin collections.
Proposed Pedestrian Puffin Crossing
We have been working closely with ESCC to further a proposal to install a pedestrian crossing over the A267, in place of the existing uncontrolled crossing near the bus-stops. This was considered back in 2013 and the Parish Council revived it in recent years and has consulted through Parish News and a recent public meeting in March. Below is a pamphlet that explains the situation to date.
We would like to hear your views and you can contact the Clerk on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07903 661581.
For information about how our councils can support you if you wish to host a refugee(s), please see the links below:
Did you know that you can sign up to receive weekly emails from Wealden District Council? The emails provide details of refuse and recycling collections, news and information about local events and council services. Wealden no longer sends out letters to notify neighbours to nearby by planning proposals. If you subscribe (for free) to receive MyAlerts, you can opt to be sent an email notification about any planning applications near your property. Visit www.wealden.gov.uk to subscribe.
Severe Weather Emergency Protocol for Rough Sleepers
Wealden District Council has put in place the above initiative, until 3rd January 2022. If you have concerns about anyone rough sleeping, please go to www.streetlink.org.uk/ and Wealden and/or an outreach service will be notified and will step in to help. If you think someone sleeping rough may be under 18 years old, please call the police on 101.
